Refund policy
Amod Jewellery's Refund and Cancellation Policy, applicable exclusively to orders placed on www.amodjewellery.co.in, emphasizes a strict approach unlike larger e-commerce platforms; we do not offer a general return policy and strongly encourage wise product selection, advising customers to contact us for any information before purchase, as subjective reasons for return—such as color perception differences, size misconceptions, or simply disliking a design—will not be entertained, given that jewellery is a highly subjective item whose intricate details and true sparkle can be difficult to fully capture in pictures, potentially showing slight color variations due to display settings or photographic processes, thereby requiring customers to use their discretion while buying. We explicitly state that returns are only accepted within 24 hours from the date of delivery for damaged or defective items only, after which no requests will be entertained, and for such eligible returns, customers must provide a video of the packing process and courier handover, along with their Government ID proof and a bank document (statement, passbook front page, or canceled cheque), all sent via email to amdgoldindia@gmail.com and WhatsApp to +91 92390 26943, ensuring the product is returned in its original condition with all accompanying paperwork, including the insurance certificate, initial invoice, and product certificate. Please note, specific items like Gold Coins/Bars, Silver Articles, Customized Orders, Auspicious Products, Gift Vouchers, Solitaires, Make-to-Order & Special Products, Gold Rakhi, and Watches are strictly non-returnable, nor are purchases made with promotion codes or discount coupons. For bulk orders, we strongly advise purchasing a single piece first to assess quality and satisfaction, as we have no return or replacement policy for such large orders, and this initial single-item purchase is at your own risk. Orders exceeding Rs 1 Lakh are not eligible for refunds, though exchanges are available, and for diamond and certified products, refunds or exchanges will only be initiated after authenticity verification. Our return process involves initiating via email, providing the required video documentation, and either arranging a courier pickup (which may take 7-10 working days) or, if unavailable, requiring the customer to personally send the insured product via their preferred courier, covering all fees, followed by a quality check (QC) upon receipt; a passing QC will result in a refund of the product's cost plus courier charges, while a failing QC requires the customer to process a claim through their courier partner. Upon successful QC, refunds are processed to the original payment source account within 10 business days from receiving the returned product, with no refunds to alternative bank accounts, and it's crucial to understand that customized jewellery cannot be replaced, and jewellery damaged by negligent handling can only be repaired if possible, with no cash refund admissible in such cases. For exchanges, the fastest method is to return the current item and, once accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. Regarding cancellations, Amod Jewellery reserves the right to cancel orders due to limited inventory, pricing/product information errors, quality rejection, insufficient customer information, suspicious activities, unforeseen circumstances, serviceability issues, or inventory mismatches (for ready-to-ship items, we'll attempt to remake or offer store credit/alternative product/full refund, though this doesn't apply to explicitly labeled made-to-order products), and we may request additional customer details for accuracy and security. Customers can cancel ready-to-ship orders before shipment, incurring a 2% pre-dispatch cancellation fee, with the remaining 98% refunded to the original payment method within 10 business days; however, Gold & Silver coins/bars, silver articles, Rakhi, and solitaire orders cannot be cancelled under any circumstances. For custom-made, personalized, or customized jewellery, cancellations within 24 hours of purchase (before or after dispatch) will incur deductions for making charges and stone charges, with the remaining amount refunded to the original account within 10 business days or adjusted towards an exchanged product, and no cancellation requests will be allowed after this 24-hour window. Failed transactions where the amount is debited will be refunded by the payment gateway to the respective account within 72 hours.
